The Monster: I Made A Skirt

I had a small project going on on my own blog so I thought I'd share it on here too!

If you read my blog, you'd know that I'm a Pinterest addict. It's a bit like Tumblr but all of the people on there are a bit more sane... I stalk all of the fashion boards.

Anyway, I made a box-pleat skirt! It's not the best (it was my first try and I had no templates) but I'm proud of it. I finished it a few days ago and it did survive the washing machine so that's pretty good for me. I can wear it now.

As you can see, I made it out of black denim. I got the fabric from John Lewis; it was pretty expensive but the material is really good. They also have loads and loads of patterns and templates to make other things. Those are expensive too.

I seriously encourage you to at least see what Pinterest is like. There are loads of pictures there that you can use for inspiration and ideas. If you're into art or design, it's the perfect site for you.
