The Monster: Eye Shadow - How To

Okay, this post is a little lazy, yes, but I did try this on my face... I just forot to take a photo.

Since I have darker skin, I used colours that were more blue than pink like the ones above. The result looked really nice and I would recommend this for formal events since it's not too proud and can work with most colours. I have smaller eyelids, though, so when I finished applying the make-up you could only see the edges of it. Also, I can't stress how important it is to make sure that your eyebrows are really defined when you do this on your face. You can see above that her eyebrows are perfect and there are no hairs out of place. This is essential when you want to achieve this look.

I really liked these nails and decided I would share them with you. I go to Disney World pretty often and these nails are just too cute. If you have any Disney inspired nails that you found or tried out. Please let me know. I would love to try them out.

The Monster: DIY Lip Exfoliator

So this I post I wrote for Top Tips Tuesday on my blog. I haven't had the time to even think of something to write for today (sorry) so I hope this makes up for it.

Whether you already know about this or not, I don't know. It's already quite popular, I think and it will help out a lot this winter.

This will lead you to another blog post:

Dry lips are a big problem in the winter so I thought that this was an ideal tip for today. I have a major issue with my lips every year just because they're thick (both upper and lower lip) so I use twice the amount of lip balm every other person would.

I don't use the mixture to exfoliate my lips all the time; using just a toothbrush works just as well.

3 Purse Essentials

I love carrying purses. They're an amazing accessory. They can add to any outfit; dress it up or dress it down.

It's hard to decide on only 3 things to bring around with me, but if I had to pick 3. One would be my cell phone & headphones. They are an essential for me! I'm always listening to music. (I love iTunes Radio.) On the other hand, I'm always scrolling through my social media. I'm addicted.

My wallet. The wallet I carry around is actually a wristlet. You have to carry around cash, your cards, and all that other stuff- ID and what not.

A lip product of some kind! I love it when my lips are soft and luscious. I would bring an EOS lip balm or a Revlon Lip Butter. (Those things work wonders!)

Those are my 3 purse essentials! I must have those 3 items with me at all times!

Thanks for reading! Xoxo,

Alex

The Monster: Rimmel London Review

I bought a new foundation last week. I don't usually wear foundation because I have sensitive skin and I'm also just really picky when it comes to things like make-up.

I bought a pretty big bottle, if I do say so myself, of Rimmel London's Long Lasting 25-hour liquid foundation. It was on sale at Boots for £4.99 (regular price is £7.99, I think) and I really needed one. They had loads of different shades which were really specific so I managed to find the one that matched my skin tone quite easily. My friends and I searched through other brands as well and found nothing.

If you've seen my previous little tutorials on here then you'd know I already had a bottle of foundation. It's smaller and twice as expensive (from Maybelline New York). I love Maybelline products but I found the foundation a bit disappointing since it cracked as soon as it dried.

Application-wise, it's really easy to apply. I don't have a proper foundation brush so I just use my fingers. The foundation pretty much puts itself onto your face, blending straight away. It's really easy to spread as well and I usually just need 1-2 pumps worth of foundation for my face and I have a big head!

With the Rimmel London foundation, my face is pretty well covered from such a small amount. It is a really good foundation. I really like that you don't have to cake it all onto your face before your blemishes get covered. I've been wearing it for a few days now (first time to school yesterday) and it did pretty well against the rain. It also says it's "hydrating" on the bottle and I have to admit that it's true. I haven't had to rely on my E45 as much lately because my skin isn't dry on face anymore and I don't have as many spots as before. Magic? Probably...

I don't know if Rimmel sells in other countries but you should definitely get a bottle yourself if you're in the UK.
